Description: Translated as “form-intention fist,” Shen Long style xingyiquan is a traditional Chinese internal martial art that uses linear movements and short bursts of power used for defense and attack.  These two-hour classes consist of strength and flexibility conditioning (modifiable to suit all levels of physical ability), martial arts solo forms, two-person forms, and drills.  Xingyiquan builds a solid base for the practice of other internal martial arts.  Participation requires NATSTA membership (natsta.org).

Xǔ Hóngjī

(1934-1984)

Born in Taipei in 1934, Xǔ Hóngjī studied the internal marital arts with his teacher, Hong Y`ixiang (founder of the system of Tang Shou Tao). He founded his own school, naming it Shen Long Tang Shou Tao, accepting students regardless of race or nationality.
